How long will my Gemzeez last?

Gemzeez are temporary! When applied with care, Gemzeez will last anywhere from the time of application until it falls off or is removed. We like to think of our Gemzeez as a freshly painted gel manicure! When done right, you can show off your Gemzeez for up to 2 weeks. But if you pick and play with it, it can fall off! But don’t worry, you can still brush your teeth, and eat without a problem. Gemzeez kit is meant to be used once. To make the most out of your Gemzeez kit and prolong your resin, store it in a dark place, away from UV light and sunshine.

How do I remove my Gemzeez?

Gemzeez are super easy to remove! If it does not come off on its own within 1 to 2 weeks, just pick it off using your nail, or even a tweezer. You can also slide a piece of floss in between your tooth and the Gemzeez. If you feel a little resin is still on your tooth, just take your finger nail and scratch it off.

How do Gemzeez stay on your teeth?

Gemzeez comes with Dental Grade and Dentist approved UV Bonding liquid known as UV Bonding Resin. When applied on the tooth and cured with a UV Light, the resin dries and allows the gem to stick to your tooth. Kind of like a gel manicure, but made for your mouth!

What are Gemzeez?

Gemzeez are the original DIY Temporary Tooth Gem Kit, designed to put a little sparkle on your smile! We use Swarovski crystals and Dental Grade UV Bonding Resin, set by a UV light to achieve a sparkly smile.

Will the gem and resin harm my tooth?

No. The resin used is Dental Grade and Dentist approved! It is made specifically for your tooth and it will not cause any harm to it.

Does the UV Bonding Liquid have a taste?

We do not recommend that you ingest the UV Bonding Resin. It is not toxic, but it is designed to only be applied to your tooth. You may experience a bit of a bitter or sour taste in your mouth after the application, sort of like when you eat a lemon! But don’t worry, once you rinse your mouth with water the taste goes away!

How old do I have to be to wear Gemzeez?

Gemzeez are for all ages and for everyone! We recommend parental supervision for anyone under 13 years old.

Does it hurt to apply a Gemzeez?

Not at all! Applying a Gemzeez is a painless process. It’s really fun, and easy to do! We say its sort of like getting a manicure, but for your teeth!

Does it stay with a retainer?

If you wear a retainer or night guard, you Gemzeez will not stick :( Retainers are made to keep your teeth in place, and are usually very form fitting on the teeth and will causes the Gemzeez to debond.

I am having trouble applying my Gemzeez.

If you are having trouble applying your Gemzeez or it is not staying on and or falling off rather quickly, try these tips!

Make sure your tooth is clean and very very dry!! Any presence of water will dilute the bonding liquid, and cause the gem to slip off. Do not brush teeth beforehand, the presence of fluoride in toothpaste can change the way the gem is bonded to the tooth.
Apply enough UV Bonding Resin on your tooth to make sure it will stay.
It is ok to move the Gemzeez around on your tooth until you get the desired location. Use the back of your applicator or even your finger.
We recommend holding the UV light to the gem for a minimum of 3-4 minutes. If you’re finding it’s not staying long enough, try holding up the light for an extra minute next time!
Do not re-use the same gem when re-applying a Gemzeez. It will not stick!
Practice makes perfect! We cannot guarantee your Gemzeez will last as long as ours. We have had a lot of practice! It may last shorter. That is why we provide multiple gems. Results vary and are dependent on your application process.

How long will it take to ship my Gemzeez Starter Kit?

Due to high demand and COVID-19, fulfillment time is longer than usual. It will take up to 4 weeks to fulfill your order.

What happens if I swallow it?

Swarovski crystals and dental resin are non toxic. If you swallow the crystal, you should pass it. When adding any substance to your body or mouth please do so at your own risk. Children under 13 should be supervised.
